Cancel Garageband Additional Content Download

I read somewhere that there is an issue with some of the new iLife-related software not recognising when it's downloaded all the stuff. So, I guess, if that's the problem here, I just need to find a way to cancel the download. There's no 'cancel' function anywhere though. I've tried disconnecting the internet, but it keeps trying again next time you open GarageBand. I guess I'm hoping someonw may have some sort of fix where you delete a certain preference or file that keeps looking for the download or something.

Three things to try:

  • Resume the download during the night, when there is less traffic: Mac App Store: How to resume interrupted downloads
  • Reset the App Store from the Debug menu, so it will forget the extra download. See Old Toad's post here on how to enable the 'Debug' menu: Re: iPhoto update 'paused'
